Delta Releases New Amplon RT 1-3kVA UPS Series to the Australian and New Zealand Market

Delta’s reliable IT power for small and medium Enterprise have release the new Amplon RT 1-3kVA UPS series (interruptible power supply) in Australia and New Zealand. The Amplon RT Series is a true online double-conversion UPS providing sine-wave power to your critical IT equipment. Ideal for personal computers, networks, servers, Voice over IP (VoIP), telecommunications and more. The Amplon RT delivers clean, continuous power to protect important equipment from power anomalies in utility power.

“In today’s IT environment, power protection with green and energy-saving features that also ensures reliability is a key customer concern. Delta’s RT1-3k UPS Series has been designed to meet the needs of customers by delivering a high efficiency design that saves energy without surrendering reliability.” said Dennis Lin, Director of Global Product Development of the Mission Critical Infrastructure Solutions (MCIS) business unit in Delta. “Customers will find the Delta RT1-3k UPS Series one of the most energy-saving UPSs of its class on the market today. It offers not only green & low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), but also provides the high availability of power protection and flexibility which IT equipment requires.”

High Availability

Delta’s RT1-3kVA UPS series applies the most advanced Digital Signal Processor (DSP) technology, which features fast computation capability and enables a reduction in the number of electronic components to lower the failure rate. Its wide input voltage range allows the UPS to operate in harsh electrical environments. The risk management via fan failure detection alerts users to failed fans, and the hot swappable batteries design ensures continuous operation even when batteries are being replaced. In addition, the online double-conversion technology protects critical loads from power problems occurring on the source side, and the zero transfer time to battery effectively ensures the stability of load operations during a power outage.

Green & Low Total Cost of Ownership

Aiming to achieve better power performance, the RT 1-3kVA UPS Series features a leading AC-AC efficiency of up to 94%, which even at light loads of 40% efficiency can reach up to 93%. It also provides an ECO mode of operation to enable increased efficiency of up to 97%. Increases in UPS efficiency can quickly result in significant savings of operational costs. In addition, its 0.9 output power factor enables the UPS to provide more wattage to critical loads. The low harmonic pollution (iTHD <3%) and high input power factor (pf>0.99) improve energy utilisation and save user investment on upstream equipment. Our customers can benefit from not only intelligent battery management sustaining battery life and performance, but also fan speed control by load level maximizing efficiency and reducing audible noise.

Greater Flexibility

The RT1-3kVA Series can be installed as a tower or in 19” rack cabinets by removing and rotating a user-friendly LCD panel which ensures a clear display and easy management. Its load segment control allows less-critical loads to be disconnected during blackouts and maximizes battery runtime for important loads. Through an RS232 or USB port, the RT1-3kVA allows users to remotely monitor and manage UPSs in a web-based interface via Delta’s UPS management software UPSentry & ShutdownAgent which also supports the graceful shut down of multi-servers in various operating systems and virtual machines to prevent possible data corruption.
