Delta Joins Australia’s Water Saving Efforts with Water Processing Technology at OzWater’15

By Nicky Callinan on May 27th, 2015

Delta exhibited its innovative, state-of-the-art water processing, treatment and power quality solutions at the OzWater’15 Expo in Adelaide earlier this month.

As the water treatment industry faces new challenges in the growing complexity of the automation process and system structure, Delta’s experience in providing integrated water treatment solutions can greatly optimise plant efficiency and reliability.

Delta’s Power Quality technology headlined the showcase, which featured a live demonstration of the Active Power Filter APF2000 Series. The demonstration showed the device monitoring load current and filters harmonics in real-time, with total response time of <20ms to enable improved power factor of up to 96%, reducing harmonics (THDi) <5%, thereby lowering energy consumption and maintenance costs for industrial systems.

Also on display were Delta’s water treatment solutions, which adopt its high performance programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to manage main and process stations, as well as human machine interfaces for parameter settings, Ethernet switches for stable and long-distance communication, AC motor drives and motors for facility operation, and power quality products for energy efficiency. Delta’s integrated solutions and products greatly enhance the process automation of water treatment plants, providing reliability, stability and efficiency.

Run annually by the Australian Water Association (AWA), OzWater is Australia’s international water conference and trade exhibition, aimed at inspiring and cultivating strong and applicable ideas.

Delta hopes that the integrated industrial water treatment solutions it featured at the event will inspire Australia’s industry sector to adopt efficient and cost-saving technologies for optimised control processing and integrated energy management
