Delta Successfully Launched their Industrial Automation Alliance at the iMARC Conference

By Delta on November 19th, 2015

Delta, I S Systems and Marubeni presented their pioneering alliance at the iMARC Conference on the 10th– 12th November 2015.

Delta Energy Systems Australia exhibited at the second annual International Mining and Resources Conference (iMARC), and officially launched its Medium Voltage Drive alliance partnership with I S Systems and Marubeni on the 10- 12th November 2015.

This new alliance positions I S Systems as Delta’s primary systems integration partner for Medium Voltage Drives (MVD) in Australia, with capital support for large infrastructure projects in a variety of industrial automation application from Marubeni.

This alliance will bring diversity to the market through the delivery of proficiency to clients with I S Systems the highly skilled Australian owned company and also provide a higher performance-to-cost ratio of support and service integration with Delta Medium Voltage Drives.

IMARC is the integral International Mining and Resources Conference and was an informative and inspiring place for the announcement of the alliance to the public. The alliance will be targeting industry sectors such as mining, oil & gas, water, power generation and metal and cement processing. At the conference there was a strong focus on constant, variable and regenerative torque application where MVD’s (3.3kV to 11kV) drive equipment such as compressors, blowers, crushers, conveyors and pumps.

Over the three days the team was able to communicate how electricity costs are rising and commodity prices are falling stressing just how important it is for Australia’s industrial sector to source ways to help improve their bottom line and maximise efficiency. In order to reduce energy MV Drives are important as the industry consumes one-third of the world’s electricity consumption and electric motors consume 65% of industrial electricity. People were attracted to the idea that MVD’s can reduce energy costs, minimise wear on motors/ other equipment and reduce maintenance costs.
