This year, Delta Industrial Automation (IA) will present a range of automation products at stand no. H23. Headlining Delta’s portfolio will be Delta’s CFP2000 AC motor drive for fan and pump applications; with an IP55 rating the solution is available for highly effective protection against dust and water in harsh environments. Delta will also display its Power Quality technology, featuring a live demonstration of the Active Power Filter series, which corrects harmonics and improves power factor in real-time to an overall efficiency exceeding 96%.

CFP2000 Series:

Is Delta’s brand new AC Motor Drive for fan and pump applications. With the IP55 model, the CFP2000 is accessible for harsh locations due to its highly effective protection against dust and water.

Key Features Include:

  • IP55 high durability design
  • Optional built-in main switch
  • Supports STO SIL2 for functional safety
  • Power range: 460 V 0.75 kW-90kW
  • Built-in EMC filter, compliance with IEC61800-3 C1 and C2
  • 2 PID controllers
  • Built in BACnet and MODBUS
  • PLC function (10k steps)
  • Built-in DC choke, effectively reduces harmonics, compliance with IEC61000-3-12
  • Supports various fieldbus cards: PROFIBUS, DeviceNet, MODBUS TCP, EtherNet/IP, CANopen

Power Quality:

Delta’s power quality technology will be a key feature at the event, with a live demonstration of Delta’s Active Power Filter (APF) Series. This device monitors load current and filters harmonics in real-time with total response time of <20ms to enable improved power factor of up to 96%, reducing harmonics (THDi) <5%, thereby lowering energy consumption and maintenance costs for industrial systems. The SVG 2000 Series ensures power factors >0.99 and boasts over 96% efficiency, thus, minimizing levels of power loss. Its modular design saves installation space by 20%~30% by eliminating the need for capacitor and reactor in the system. Our power quality devices are highly adaptable to several applications in the Australian water, minerals and metals, power generation, petrochemical, infrastructure, food and beverage and materials handling market.

Water Treatment Solutions:

With the brand promise of “Smarter. Greener. Together.”, Delta provides highly reliable programmable logic controllers, human machine interfaces, Ethernet switches, motors and drives, and power quality products suitable for the process automation of water treatment plants. Automation for the water treatment industry faces a new challenge in the growing complexity of the automation process and system structure. Besides improving production quality and quantity, lowering costs and saving energy with reduced carbon emissions is equally important. With years of experience in the water treatment industry, Delta provides integrated water treatment solutions for optimal plant efficiency and reliability of critical infrastructure.

Delta will exhibit its state-of-the-art green technology during OzWater 2016 Australia on 10-12 May at Booth H23, Melbourne Convention Centre. Run annually by the Australian Water Association (AWA), OzWater is Australia’s international water conference and trade exhibition, aimed at inspiring and cultivating strong and applicable ideas to ensure the longevity of our greatest resource. Delta hopes that the industrial water treatment solutions it will be featuring at the event will inspire Australia’s industry sector to adopt efficient and cost-saving technologies for optimised control processing, integrated with energy management and fluid control systems.
